Anatomy of Love
From toes to knees, a journey starts,
Through shoulders and head, love imparts,
Blindly it dances, floating on air,
Sharing and caring, a bond beyond compare.

My toes find a partner, in the time so right,
Knees turn to jelly, in your love's sweet sight,
Shoulders for resting, a broad, sturdy brace,
My head finds a pillow, a soft, cushioned space.

Yet at times, it stings, a painful sensation,
Breaking and burning, a heart's agitation,
In pieces, it leaves you, shattered and torn,
Still we love for none, yet so many reasons

Ah, love's no jest, it's a tapestry of feeling,
An emotion that's living, a bond so revealing,
Woven with hope that forever will come,
I'd still feel it in my limbs, even if the person is gone
