A Lost Soul
I'm so wet.
I'm freezing.
I'm hurting.
I'm in a place with snakes,
ravens,
wolves
and goblins with no sign of light.
Clawing,
Ripping,
Tearing,
trying to find familiar ground,
to find the unicorns,
butterflies,
fairies,
fireflies,
friends,
family,
and my teddy bear....
but all is lost.
I am lost.
I wish the facts weren't so cold.
Then I could try to warm up.
I do not wish to freeze over.
If I were to go to sleep,
Would I ner' wake again?
Would there be anyone to mourn my departure.
If I were to sleep,
Would it stop the hurting?
Would I feel worm again?
Would the light come back,
As if a vail had been lifted from my shoulders?
Most of all would it replace the bad memories?
Even if going to sleep could do all of that ,
I could not.
I know I am lost,
But I feel I am only so without the other half of my soul.
The one made for me.
I am unsure if I shall ever find him
And my heart aches all the more when I think it
but I know also I can never rest till I do.
For a strange kind of hope keeps me going,
Keeps me calling to you, " Please, find me!"
It keeps me reaching out
And waiting for you.
