Unseen Efforts
A friend, so kind and true,
Helped me out, in all she could do.
She sent messages, when I was away,
In boarding school, she supported me each day.
She even brought me water, pure and fine,
When I needed it most, with a caring design.
But I, blind to her efforts great,
Focused on flaws, and failed to appreciate.
I realize now, with a heavy heart,
I should have been more grateful from the very start.
She had her own life, her own struggles too,
But I didn't see, I didn't treat her as I should do.
Though we're apart, I want her to know,
I regret my ways, and apologize with a remorseful glow.
