Her eyes gleamed with the light 
Of her inner strength,
She had walked miles,
Not worried about the length,
Wasn't sure where to go
she just had to leave,
A situation so horrible
You wouldn't believe.
She wore bruises like makeup
and clothes like a nun.
to cover the beatings and battles shes won.
She relies on her strength and the light in her eyes
To guide her to saftey
and not her demise.
