We pined for each other
wanted to break social barriers
he wanted to fly across the seas
I tried to meet him too...

together we had a dream
of life full of bliss
blessed by family, friends and God's
life would feel our desires fulfilled...

But reality was different
once we became one
no it was a whole family and clan
it was not about us two
it was about others too...

the times changed and so did we
didn't feel the same anymore
he seemed to ignore it all
I became angrier by the day
frustration is a good word
that's what I mean to say

the house felt small
can't call it home anymore
suffocated is what I kept feeling
difficult was everything I was dealing
He couldn't figure it out

then came the day I had it enough
and refused the sadness the stress
he was taken aback
he couldn't comprehend

what happened
where and when
did this all change
is this the end? what about love he said

I replied, yes we had love
but now I can only say
our love has faded-
and so has my love story...
