There was a young lady named Rosie
Who won the New York Marathon

But people saw Rosie on the telephone

Some saw Rosie shopping at the Fashion Barn

Some people said: 'It's all a lie!"

Because they all saw Rosie fly by

Well it all came to an end
with a photograph taken by a friend

Spectators said: "no way!"

Until they published her picture in the magazine The Runner's Day

There was Rosie relaxing in a Central Park Meadow as bright as the first day of May

Rosie with her bicycle by her side

Munching a bag of popcorn in her hands

In truth dear Rosie never ran

Except across the finish line at the very very end
