Flowed deep

sent shivers
up my spine
reunited with

The arduous roller coaster
Of retrograde
Seemed to grind
To a halt
my shoulders relaxed
stress evaporated

Faces I hadn't seen
In many moons
Appeared sporadically
Throughout the evening

a decade
passed
yet we picked up
where we left off
a visceral feeling

It's been a rough go
these past few weeks
Self conscious thoughts
Internally ramble
disrupt my sleep

Car is in shambles
relationship too
focus lost
I sit and stew

Just need a win
I said to myself
phone malfunctioned
it was a blessing
Disguised as a curse

They wiped the balance
Cut my rate in half
Seemed too good to be true
But the receipt didn't lie

The day flowed
Beautifully
hitting every green light
the sky turned hues of cotton candy
my sunny disposition
carried on through the night

from different chapters of life
all showed up to dance
