Your eyes say
what your mouth won't .
When our eyes meet I can tell
you have the same feelings
that I do
but because of her
you won't let yours show.
Instead you hide behind
jokes and jests
trying to make your true feelings
less obvious.
Yet, even with all that masking
and pretending
your hands betray it all.
Your hands that linger
a little longer than they should
and hold on a little tighter than they should.
