KINDNESS
Walking through his day,
Wounded birds on his way.
Breathing his own air,
Sticking to his square.

He flies away,
Not wanting to stay.
Continuing his life,
Ignoring others knives.

This is a man,
Who gives no hand
Be it poor or needy,
He has no pity.

A woman needing help with the door,
An old man failing to get to the next floor,
A homeless child begging to get a meal.

He walks past it blindly,
Taking it very lightly.

He rolls his eyes
Without a clue.
Making fun of people
All the way through.

Until he finds himself,
On the ground,
A wounded bird to be found.

He tries and tries,
To soar up high.
Only to find himself
Fall again in pain and cry.

He realizes his mistakes
That kept him awake.
He felt cared for when he was helped,
And made kindness about of himself.

Now, he mended broken wings
With a smile and happy things.

Here is a man,
Who walked around streets,
Not missing anyone in need.
He became a friendly man,
With kindness as his plan.

KINDNESS is not hard. It costs nothing, but means everything.
