A pencil, marker, pen or paint
May not seem like a lot.
They only draw. But what they draw!
The things of which you never thought!

A pencil may seem very faint,
But shadows it can make,
A rainbow on a light blue sky
An eye, a window or a lake.

A marker on a paper, board
Can draw a shooting star.
Your favorite character, a book,
A bright red, brand new car.

A pen can draw a picture of
A shiny metal whistle,
A cat, it's fur so silky soft,
A soda can, a crystal.

Some paint, a brush, and here you get
A flower vase with lilies,
A bowl of candy, or a fire,
A village, roads and valleys.

A pencil, marker, pen or paint
May not seem like a lot.
But they can draw a whole new world,
And things you never thought.
