I am Lain

I feel detatched from my surroundings
and the real world.
When I’m around others,
I feel invisible but then
I feel like all eyes are on me
all at the same time.

I am Lain

I’ve decided to take my living being
into a place called The Wired.
In this world, I could finally feel seen
even if I’m no longer “real.”
This will be my escape
from reality.

I am Lain

I wonder if anyone in the real world
noticed my sudden disappearence.
But I remember, no one even cared
of my existance then.
People at school, people in public,
even my own family didn’t notice.

I am Lain

I hope everyone is happy
that I no longer exist in the real world.
The real truth in the way I see it is
I only exist inside those people
who are aware of my existance.
I’m not sure if I’m real either way..

..was I real to begin with?
Am I real? Am I really Lain?
