AS IF I CARE
While battling with problems that make the world quiver
Just out of the blues
A destructive pest came along
Like the bite of a rattlesnake
Painful and sore
Swift like a raging cyclone
Sudden as a meteor’s flight
Making itself clear to all
Blowing its whistle for all to see
But despite its clarity
For all it caused
For all the calamity brought about by the pestilence
The species with complete intellect
Though bushwhacked, were guided
Piloted on the right path
Because they are as the wind
Careless and heedless,
In their hustles and bustles
Without a care in the world
Unlike the fox
These disobedient mortals
Doubting Thomasses
Defy instructions
And get trapped in the problems of the pest
So that as it dies
They kick in alongside it
