She presents with elegance and grace
But inside lives a rage
A full time job she has
Keeping the two apart
One fighting for everything beautiful
The other just fighting
Fighting with anger
Fighting with strength
Fighting with invisible knives
And razor blades
Punches and guns and bullets
This part kept at bay
At least so far
Because she wakes up each day
Puts a smile upon her face
And tries to do something good and fair
For herself and someone else
That rage bubbles like acid reflux
And she still chooses contentment
Grace and Rage
