My Mother gave me my talents and traits.
My adopted mom taught me to embrace them.

My Mother gave me my fears and doubts.
My adopted mom taught me to face them.

My Mother gave me my clumsy ways.
My adopted mom picked me up from the mud.

My Mother gave me my bright blue eyes.
My adopted mom taught me to see the good.

I am not angry that my Mother gave me away.
I know it was to give me the best.

Adoption is building a family through dedication and love.
For the family I have, I am blessed
