Sleep
Sleep comes so sweetly.
A breeze like caress,
Softly as time it seeps.
A fog that slithers down,
Yet never leaves.

Some find sleep far.
An old lullaby that never stays.
Wandering in a dream-like state,
They yearn
A wink for days.

Here it is but a fortress.
Surrounding the shed
I call my own.
Scuoring a numbness akin to pleasure,
A push to take is all.

Oh and like a melodious lover
It calls to rid the pain.
Plunging in it's dark,
I'm free of thoughts...
I never have to think

It holds me so close.
Time and sense,
fledged afar.
Nothing to feel, remorse or memories
Till we are then torn apart.
