Sing a lullaby
Mother, Mother sing me a song
Her melodies keep me calm
Although she worked long
In her tired voice
She sings in a uptempo tone
Her voice so warm it melts the snow
Settled the storm
As she locks the door
When I'm asleep
The place is quiet, not a peep

Mother, Mother where she has gone
She sings her lullaby
That's no more
Mother, Mother do you hear my call
She is at her midnight, job
I wish to be at her side
She just leave me behind
Remembering her lullabies
" Twinkle Twinkle little star
Mother I wonder where you are"
She rocked me on a tree top
When the wind blows
the cradle will rock.
Momma promised to buy me a mockingbird
If I don't say a word.
I closed my eyes
As she kissed me on my forehead goodnight
