Tengu

Shrouded in mystery
unearthed from history
Unbound, where treasures
are to be found.

In forbidden places
a malevolent force
hides, upon sacred
ground.

In ancient folklore
they are spoken of as
benevolent and uninvited
in dreams they taunt the
living, and leave them fragile
and broken.

In ancient temples a stone vessel
stands, engraved with symbols, marking a once spiritual temple,
no longer touched by human
hands.

Entombed in rapture, awaiting a time
to become whole again ; to rise from
it's false eternal shell.
To change and force it's way through
to awaken. Becoming a new, until
everything breaks against the strain.

They are figures in the shadows, cloaked in the darkest night.

Imprisoned by a place somewhere in a point in Japanese history.
Waiting to break free
with dark and light.

They rise from a chamber sealed by ancestors from long ago.
With eyes the colour of jade
they come back to a world changed by centuries of war and despair, as they arise a new form that breaths the same toxic air.

They are the masters of transformation and device to create illusion. Born of earth and forged from copper and bronze.
They are placed in places of great importance to create confusion confusion.

Tengu, the figure in the shadows, like a
silent guardian.
Also known as "Henge".
