FEAR COMES TO TOWN
The days too eventually fell silent,
No sounds, not even by the crows,
All you could hear was the sound of,
Fear knocking on the doors. Not
the hallowed hymns of the belfry
that had faded long ago,
when Fear's hands had gripped the door knobs
and his foot had shook the floor. Not
boisterous banter near the cafè pantry,
it was now a distant echo.
For Fear had that shut the cafè down
and made the owners bellow.
When the streets were garbed in loneliness ...
No sounds, not even by the crows,
All you could hear was the sound of,
Fear knocking on the doors. Not
the hallowed hymns of the belfry
that had faded long ago,
when Fear's hands had gripped the door knobs
and his foot had shook the floor. Not
boisterous banter near the cafè pantry,
it was now a distant echo.
For Fear had that shut the cafè down
and made the owners bellow.
When the streets were garbed in loneliness ...
