EDMONTONIAN
Under the starry Canadian skies,
Mounds and mingling cities all arise—
whereto my Albertan hometown lies;
the lovely, lively Edmonton;
About the city, many a road,
Belmont Pines was my abode—
as the bright streetlights clearly show'd
the lovely, lively Edmonton;

Nothing but beautiful places
are seen about to the tourist faces
of the men & women who joyful chases
the lovely, lively Edmonton;
The Mall of the west side reigns supreme
& the schools allows their kids to dream,
as the Legislature belov'd gleams
about lovely, lively Edmonton!

Edmontonians are all but folly,
as they play and laugh, forever jolly,
ne'er stoop'd in sadness, nor melancholy,
in lovely and lively Edmonton!
When you walk about the streets at last,
sometimes you'd feel a special cold blast;
sweet winter breeze culminat'd in past—
in lovely and lively Edmonton!

O! Lovely Edmonton, my home,
whose streets and parks, I always roam,
shall I tell thee, in my tome,
more of lovely, lively Edmonton?
O! vast, prodigious place in my heart,
I shall never leave, and never grow apart,
so hearken to my prosaic prose art
of lovely and lively Edmonton;

For in my heart, I'll always be
a child of Edmonton, for it is in me!
