They didn't leave you
because they didn't love you.
Your integrity was commendable.
They were the ones who couldn’t be true.
They were chewing gum someone else spit out,
You were a brand-new shoe.
You were the one,
they were no one,
So, there’s no way that would have made two.
You are a healer,
The one who could have bandaged their scars,
But, if you did,
they would have only bled through.
I know it hurts, but soon,
Someone will value your value.
Soon,
Someone is going to come along and heal you.
