In the shadows of our shared vulnerability,
I fear causing pain, an unwelcome possibility.
Yet I stay, it's something to endure.
I've faced many trials, people telling me I'm mature.

Embracing the reality that pain will arrive,
A life full of lessons, but we will survive.
I'm defenseless, scared all my tenderness will burn.
I'm willing to learn, in every twist and turn.
