I often dream
Of standing alone ,

Being at peace with my pain ,
My sorrows,
My happiness ,
And my bittersweet past that always follows,

The person I was is not who I am ,
And the person I am is not who I will be ,
I stroked every story of my past with ink,
and I’ll build my future to be a place where I won’t ever sink .

I changed,
and I will change again.
Because I’ll grow and gain to know more things about who I am .

Who am I ?
I don’t know ,
Perhaps I’ll never know ,
But I am who I am today and I’ll find out who I’ll be,
as I learn and grow.
