The cashier
I met the most beautiful woman
I've seen in a long time today,
She was the cashier at the supermarket
And I felt small when she said hello,
Her voice was like that of honey, you know
Addictive and sweet,
Her ebony hands felt like a soft breeze
As we exchanged money,
Her smile illuminated the place
More than the fluorescent lights,
Her beauty struck me
Deaf, Dumb and blind,
I didn't know what to say
So i said my please and thank yous
And carried on my way.
