Fiction
As this night gets cold
defied memories unfold,
and what's left of that tormented soul
crumbles again, like long foretold..

Heart's frigid,
now nothing it fears.
Enshrouded under reefers
and some pitch black beers..
And these eyes,
well they are just too dry for tears,
Not just tonight,
but ever since years.

Draped by regret,
I look up at the stars
Pleading for your forgiveness,
I offer them flowers..
And the least I could do for you
is preserve every memory of ours,
So despite that hole in my chest,
I forever embrace my scars.

I know
I did push you far,
but far it was
from all these war.
For you wouldn't realise
I was never worth the fight.
So now from well afar,
I just watch you bloom bright.
And I call you a fiction
in every poem I write.
