The Medal on the Mountain.
There’s a medal on the mountain,
But it seems so out of reach,
How must I reach this medal?
How must I reach this highest peak?
The journey is overwhelming,
I’ve fallen time and time again,
But there’s no way of telling
When this journey shall come to and end.
The medal, it’s so close!
Just a few miles away,
But then I hit a slippery slope,
All I can do is pray..
The days seem so long,
The sky’s, so grey,
I try to keep strong,
But it seems something always gets in my way.
The journey is anything but simple,
I keep getting caught in the rain,
But I know I’ll make it through,
All I need is faith.
Through it I faced trials,
Through them I faced pains,
And through them came revival,
But I first had to overcome the rain.
I’m almost to the top,
To the medal I fought so hard to reach,
So many times I wanted to stop,
Thinking I could never reach
I finally made it there!
To the top of the mountain peak,
I made it through the journey,
To the medal I’ve finally reached.
