The pages of my old book,
Hold my memories of yesterday,
Every smile, every tear,
Every person who came my way...
The betrayals, the friendship
The happy sunshine and tearful nights
My fears and my success...
Memorable moments, the one I can't forget
Embarrassing moments, one I still wish to amend
People I wish I hadn't chase away with my negligence
People I wish I didn't accommodate
Families, I thought were enemies
Enemies, I called family
Times I hurt the one who trusted me
Days I didn't value the real friendship
Weeks... when I tried to be happy for people
Months... when I'm overshadowed with pains
Hours of forcing smiles on my face
seconds of reassurance that IT IS WELL
My old book, a reminder of what I had been through
The reassurance of my self promises
An inspiration to keep pushing forward.
