She is fierce and loves deeply
Too often she bows under the pressures
of this life
Never breaking
only becoming stronger

Her heart is out for all to see
Desperately longing to hide away
yet she chooses to stay
Caring for those surrounding her

Pouring of herself endlessly
Longing to fix the broken world around her

Weariness and grief overcome her
she realizes she can't fix it all
No matter how hard she tries her efforts fall short

She is only a human after all
Just one person trying to make a difference

There is no possible way for her to fix all of the brokenness surrounding her

That is not her purpose or her responsibility

She has to let go and trust God

Doing her part
little by little
Focusing on what is right in front of her

Loving those around her completely
and caring deeply
Even when it hurts

She can't give up and will not hide away
That would be a shame

For she is a bright light in a dark
and broken world

She is a loving embrace, with a caring smile
and a compassionate soul



In a world where kindness can be hard to find
don't give in to complacency

Living guarded and with a numbed heart

Is hiding behind a locked door
Imprisoned and you are the keeper
