LIKE A PHOENIX
#WritcoPoemPrompt30
She rises from the ashes,
Donning infinite avatars,
Sending the vile searching for cover,
And begging for mercy

They had said to her
"Your wings we have burried
with the ashes from the fading memories
of your glory days..."

But like a phoenix
her rising mocks everything
for which they created ashes;
her blinding illumination
swallows the darkness
in which their schemes prospered.

Dawn is here at last;
at her feet the vile must now bow
forever their Queen she must remain.
