We found a Teacup on the Moon
We found a teacup on the moon,
It made us howl and sing in tune,
For how could such a thing exist,
In a place where cups are sorely missed?
We laughed until our sides had ached,
At this bizarre and odd mistake,
And wondered just how it got up there,
Did it fly up or climb the stair?
Perhaps an alien took a sip,
And then let go and lost his grip,
Or maybe it was left behind,
By a space crew with tea on their mind.
But no matter how it came to be,
We're glad that we were there to see,
This teacup on the lunar ground,
A funny sight that still astounds.
And now we've made a solemn vow,
To bring tea up there, somehow,
For who knows what else we'll find,
On the moon that's just as kind.
