Where Is God?
In desperation cries my heart,
To heavens high, I play my part,
But heavens cold, it hears me not,
Angry doubts my mind besieged with tumultuous thoughts.

I see the wicked world around,
With blessings showered all abound,
While I, a righteous man, like Job of old,
In sorrow and pain, my life unfolds.

Oh, heavens high, my heart doth cry,
The needed miracles, why deny?
Do you not hear my anguished plea?
Why must your wrath fall heavily on me?

Or is it so, my cries are spent,
On deafened ears, a vain attempt,
A Hyperbole of faith it seems,
For others get their dreams.

My hope now fades, my faith is lost,
I question all, and all exhaust,
For why should I keep up this game,
When all I get is pain and shame?
