Full of verve and ebullient,
With the newfound freedom
From her dark and crowded kingdom.
Out of her home and in the air,
She crossed the fields with no care,
Enjoying her day in the open
Like animals freed from the pen.
It became dark soon after
When died the jollity and laughter,
Lights began to glow at windowsills
Of the houses scattered in the hills.
She saw a bright dancing flame
And was at once drawn to the same,
Fluttering her wings at great speed
She flew across the sprawling mead.
Closer and closer she moved towards the light
Which in its prime glowed very bright,
She had lost her heart to the dancing flame,
