when your blood is in the water
If you bought a dozen roses
she’ll complain about the color

or the size of the arrangement,
the proportion of the vase
and the florist where you got them,
was it Costco or Renée’s?

But they’ll tell you that you’re special
how unlike the guys before
then she’ll make your body tremble
‘til she shows you to the door

and the next time that you’re tested
you’ll try harder if you can
‘cause you think that you’re invested
but it’s just another scam
