On my Sleeve
The eyes that stare at me are so cold,
With each blink they steal my soul,
Walk with me while talking to me,
Hold my hand I am stumbling in consequence it buries me alive,

My heart is tattooed on my sleeve not hiding away in my chest,
My heart is tattooed on my sleeve and its bleeding in blindness,
My heart is tattooed on my sleeve and it's beating out a song,
My heart is tattooed on my sleeve exposed and waiting to breath,

The night is so heavy it’s exhausting me and crucifying my mind,
Can there be a fix for what is already broken and in pieces,
Torment and nightmares now seem like reality rather than unconscious,
Mistakes have cost me and fortunes have fallen,

It hurts to breath and yet it’s the simplest of things,
Its burns to see through a broken iris and blindness is real,
The verdict has been sent and it’s all about to come falling down,
Judged for no reason this frustration is ripping my heart to pieces,

Thunder rain down on me and strike me to the core of my soul,
Lightning pierce my skin and rip my heart out to give it meaning,
Reveal yourself my purpose for being here and for falling down again and again,
Do I need to see the vision of a cross to truly know what I am here for?

Time is ticking bomb just racing by faster than suffocation,
What is this life for and what are the lights at the end of the tunnel,
Creating my own prison within myself only burns hate inside unnecessarily,
Holding my head up high doesn’t change the view it just masks the reality,

Who has got my back?
Alone fighting this story on my own it burns me inside,
My heart is tattooed on my sleeve to remind me that it’s more than a muscle,
Disconnecting from reality isn’t as simple as turning a switch it’s here and now,
Who is going to help me pick up the pieces of the shattered dreams I have laid down,

I have tattooed my heart on my sleeve – whatever comes will come !
