A smile can be the most painful
way to cry
It's also unfortunately an
easy way to lie
A smile can cover up
the depth of pain
But at the end of the day
It's only a cover for the stain
A smile can deceive
to make it seem your fine
But the masked deception
doesn't keep you from dying inside
A smile is worn by many
to hide the sadness they feel
But is really a cry for help
before death gets a deal
A smile is served up best
with the word's "I'm fine"
But instead may really mean
"Help me I'm dying"
