Death
So Deep yet so Shallow
How far must you swallow
On a steep slope we walk
In fear to face you
Yet our Footsteps you stalk
Fear of you left us broken
Yet more you wished to claim as a token
Battered and bruised
As I rose back up you mused
Funny isn't it, I just wouldn't give up
Left you a bitter taste like hyssop
Still we both knew alas
This wouldn't be the last
You would be back
And soon a reason I would lack,
To look in your eyes and defy you
Soon it would be just us, nothing new
Soon it would be the 'last'
