A little longer

Four hundred and fifty six hours will pass swifly
Bliss brimmed and verdant days slips on my palms easily
Afternoon petrichor filled my lungs, on a hammock swaying slow
Rustling leaves and wood creaks, my heart beats in peace, my blood in steady flow

I ache to hold time, let me savor this beautiful feeling a little longer
Let me stay a little longer to craft an armor forged by moments of solitude, songs of winds drench my memory further
Before I return to battle in the City, with traffic as adversary and face academic war
If clock doesn't pause, I beg to make it walk a little slower so I can stay a little longer
