Are we truly equal?
In our mind and body,
and this social stratification,
only creating an artificial divide...

But then, life is not that simple,
people aspires, to be different,
to reach the pinnacle, of their life.
And we are all, at different stage,
depending on capabilities and intent,
chasing individual needs & desires.

And thus, we build an invisible barrier,
like a mental note, to scrutinize others,
for our personal sphere of influence.
For, us human, are social animal,
so we established social hierarchy,
be it through power or finances.

Still, time has changed,
with diversification of opportunities,
helping us, to bridge the gaps.
But, basic nature never changes,
for, we create newer power centers,
or remain attached to older mindset.

So, what's the driving force?
A desire for a higher status,
or an air of superiority, for self...
While others nursing grievances,
simmering with their hurt pride,
giving rise to inferiority complex.

Great were our childhood days,
not concerned with social obligations,
being free from mental restrains...
But even in this innocence,
creating groups within circles & plays,
we learned, the tricks of social hierarchies.
