In the deep night I awoke
And through my window
I see the mystical moon
Glowing in the night sky
With no stars by its side

The majestic celestial robbed me of the dark
The beautiful part of the night
And now I cannot go to sleep
For I am thinking of the past
When we kids always jubilated for such nights
Till our siblings dispersed our little gatherings

I am an adult now
I have freedom
To watch the moon
Until its rays retreat from my room
And I fall asleep again.
