Magnet Eyes
Sometimes I wonder if my eyes still draw you in,
Like they did when we first gazed at eachother.
I remember when our story was yet to begin,
When life magnets pulled us closely together.
Our first kiss left me effected like never before,
I smiled the biggest smile the whole way home.
I felt like a bird that had just learned to soar,
Now my wings are weaker and the smile is gone.
Is time to blame or is our love just old and worn.
Does everyone’s feelings end up this way in the end?
Is it like a present after opened and torn,
It does not appeal to us as before again.
I hope one day we can soar again and feel brand new,
Do my eyes still draw you in, I hope and pray that they do.
