FGM is violence against women,
In the name of tradition,
Mostly done before a girl attain her puberty,
The genitals are deliberately cut or injured, while the girl is still concious,
With an intension to make her,
A chaste woman,

FGM does more harm than good,
It doesn't make her pure,
Or preserve her virginity,
As misconceptualized by the society,

Clitoridectomy, excision infibulation,
Or any other harmful way,
It just causes pain,
And makes her life more difficult,
It has no health benefits,

FGM can be fatal,
Even if survived,
It has life threatening effects,
Like bleeding, infertility, incontinence, and many more,
And this traumatic experience will,
Have enormous impact on her mental health.
