HONEST DESIRE

I'll lay my head to rest
Only when I'm covered with grace.
It's the body, my fatigued self
The ghost of day time she,
With a mind strong yet worn to shreds.
It's the fight ,at the same time, surrender
The desire to hold strength dear
But the knees are gaunted with weakness.
It's esprit de corps once, then uncertainty
It's not reason I desire,
But consistency in both light and darkness.

An honorable young woman
Too many, an inspiration
But to herself, the wait too long.
It's the thought of rest, rest eternal
And the peace that comes with it
To flee from existence like a memory lost
But still, it's also the calmness she seeks
A good story with a tragic end and as
Each page fades, time flows, no regrets
She just an existence never known
Her desire to be forever forgotten.
