Long road

Over the years
I didn't connect
always aloof, always the fearsome
until you came along

I remained hidden
I remained unseen
afraid of myself
aftaid of my failures
until you came along

You were just nobody
yet you were somebody
You heard my silence
You watched my actions
I loosened my hold
when you were around
I felf myself when I was near you

and so the journey started
of me believing myself
smile became my constant
my action spoke volumes
my confidence started blooming
and in those happy moments

I realised what I had missed
someone who would listen to me
someone who would not judge me
someone who would see
the real me so hidden
all it took was love
And a bit of patience

Now I see blooming flowers
A merry world
Lots of colours and
Lovely faces .

I walk with my head high
I smile at all my beings
I love to cook
I love to read
I felt my power
like never before.
