Hear My Voice

I am the voice calling out on black earth;
Ringing out in balded, plain valleys;
Singing unrelentlessly in green meadows;
Echoing sonorously in dells and deserts;
Reverberating on the mountain tops;
Roaming in farms and hills.

Piercing mulish ears, filtering
Filthy minds and sieving sordid souls.

Mine is the lone, faint voice crying
For uniform thoughts and perspective.

Unstable like the dancing vapors
Of heat and humidity, yet as
Firm as a lode in the crag.

Hear my faint, strident voice,
Now resounding like hiccups of thunder.

Faint, fading, dying........
