this week in the UK 10th of June to the 16th of June 2024
is loneliness awareness week!
but people can be lonely the world over?
so I have written a poem.
whether this poem is true or not, is another matter 🤔


Drifting aimlessly through my barren life
akin to a solitary cloud without purpose or destination
lonely, but paradoxically not alone
in the world crowded with emptiness
I stand shoulder to shoulder with my loneliness

my emotions gradually becoming emaciated
through a daily diet starved of friendship
my melancholic heart, now a hollowed out void
echoing silent cries of hopelessness
for a love I can never call home.....

..... Drifting aimlessly through my barren life..
-....... in both this life and the next!


Please spare a thought for those who are lonely 🤔
