Compare
Who are you? Who am I?
We both know, yet we choose not to show it. Instead we live a lie. Listening to our brains, listening to our minds. But forgetting the most important one, the one that always guides - our hearts.
The one that truly knows, the one that always grows.
Our brains tell us to over analyse everything we do
You're thinking "am I perfect enough for them" what should I do?
Our minds allow us to compare ourselves with one another
Not knowing that somewhere, somebody wants to be you.
I get it, It's nature; but never allow that to grow to hatred.
Know the border, know the line
Because the person you're looking at right now might also be in disguise.
Thinking, "who am I?, am I me? am I real?"
Listening to bullies, listening to rumours.
And believing it's true, but you should listen to the voice inside of you
If you just dig deep enough, you will soon find
That you are a light that has been hiden in the darkness all this time
Afraid of what they might think, what they might say
But you shouldn't care, because who are they to compare?
Compare you to them, because they feel bad, because you have something they wish they had
But next time they judge you, just think to yourself
Who are they to compare? Who are they to care? To care more about my imperfections than me..
I'm just glad that I've set my light free!
