Those flowers were just excuses .....
The sulky sky stretched wide
Like a bubbly blue blanket
And so joyful were the cotton clouds
And the clever crow on the tree taking rounds

The big bus roared down the street
As the small kids wore caps, keeping away the heat
I ignored everything, spacing out,
My friend being sad, sat with a pout

But something caught my gaze
Pushing me out of the haze
My eyes on them
As they were unaware of my speaking stare

A young boy, young as spring
Ran down the steady street
Planted on his face was sweet smile
As he stopped in front of the shop selling tiles

Came out a young girl
Her eyes costlier than pearl
Her face dirty as the piglet in mud
As she jumped off the stairs with a loud thud

Running together past the faded crowd
Reaching a small shop
They stood on their tiptoes
Trying to reach the table's top

An old lady sat with a smile
The children giving a soft stare
The old lady offered a flower's beauty bunch
As the children ran off with the bunch,
To have their lunch

so this happened when I was going to school by school bus and I saw young children carrying flowers(one girl and one boy) and this fantasy just popped up in my mind ❤️❤️
