In the branches under the shade
I opened my twinkling eyes , looked through the haze
Crumbling straws made my comfy bed
Yes, I was in my nest
I chirped, I enjoyed
I smelled the flowery maze
Green leaves surrounded like curtains
And creepers fell like silky drapes
The sunshine slid through the gaps
Only to touch my feathery hands
The cool breeze caressed my wings
I shook with my childish amaze
