The sneaky road has an end
but it is not visible
The road is sloppy
but full of hurdles
The tyre starts to roll
and gently rolls on
It hits bumps
stumps and rolls on
It rolls over blades
and suffers cuts
It gets caught up in a ditch
in a deep hollow ditch
A passerby moves closer
and gives it a kick
The tyre rolls on again
steadily on and on
The tyre rolls on fast
and sometimes slow
It looks as if there is no end
but down there is the end
Maybe very far from here
or just very soon.
