Wings of a Fool
I see them up there, every day.
They continue to laugh, fly away.
These creatures, unfairly unique,
Watch us from above, clueless and weak.

"Fly out of my sight! At once you fiend!"

Here I was again, jealous and mean.
If were to fly.
If I could soar.
My fantastical escape, would never be seen.

The classroom laughs at me.

"Pay attention boy!" my teacher exclaimed.

But I couldn't help but imagine,
I couldn't help but see,
How much better my life could've been.
