FAMILY

I never had a family
To ever love me.
I would always imagine
How a family should be
I would always think of
How incredible the love would feel
And I would imagine all the family
Gathering at holiday meals
I would always imagine
My Mother tucking me in at night
She'd kiss me softly, tell me she loved me
And then turn out the light
I'd imagine having a father
Who'd teach me cool things
He'd show me how to build stuff
And fly R.C. fixed wings
I'd sit and imagine family trips
Where we'd go on picnics, go camping, or fishing
But I've never had a family.
All of this is just wishful thinking
